Treasureland Montessori (formerly known as Treasureland Academy), has been a nursed vision and ministry of year 2000 but was finally founded on the 10th of September, 2007 by Helen Freedom and co-founders Mr. Freedom E. Henry and their children. The school started with thirteen pupils (i.e. 8 girls and 5 boys) on the first day of resumption with the proprietress Mrs. Helen Freedom as teacher and headteacher, the director Mr. Freedom E. Henry as the admin, Miss Christiana now Mrs. Christiana Leonard Obiego as teacher and Miss Peace now Mrs. Peace Samson Boboye as teacher and closed with twenty - eight pupils ( 15 girls and 13 boys). At the end of 2007/2008 session the total number of pupils rose to fifty - three. (28 girls and 25 boys). However, at inception, only pupils from the pre nursery to basic two classes were admitted.

The school employed the first four external staff in September 2008. In 2009, due to high demands, pupils were admitted up to basic five and more staff were employed. The school was incorporated in 2012 and the name was changed from Treasureland Academy to Treasureland Montessori because it was discovered that the first name had been incorporated by someone else. Nevertheless, over the years, it had been known for excellent performance as testimonies abound from present parents and those whose children had been sent forth.
